One of the larger works in the Dear Pandora exhibition, She Swam Past Her Fears is a celebration of courage — of the small, quiet incentives we give ourselves each time we act bravely. A mermaid emerges from vivid, flowing colour, inspired by my love of folklore and the enchantment of the Irish sea.
This piece is a personal wish — to one day swim freely in those cold, mysterious waters and meet the beauty that lies beyond fear. It speaks to the magic that awaits when we surrender to the unknown, when bravery feels gentle and deeply human.
