This bird the Toucan (in Brazil, you find the toco Toucan) it is so cute and colourful, and I would have loved to see it, but it never happened. But I found a pair of Toucan earrings in a vintage shop on my last evening….and that was super exciting!
These beautiful birds are known to be super noisy, scientist have no idea why they have such a big beak, and they are monomorphic (no way to distinguish female or male toucans outwardly).
Isn’t this really cool!
I painted this colourful Toucan as it was what I felt when I was in Rio, the most magical city in the world for me and also what better way to celebrate pride month with a colourful, monomorphic bird! 🌈
